K.P.R. Qualifies for the FAFA Knock Out Stage

Kings Park Rangers (KPR) is a Non Division Football Club that is situated at Fourah Bay Community, eastern Freetown. The club was founded in 2019 by the King family at Argyle Street, Fourah Bay.
The club was established to promote football and sport as a means of enhancing health education, learning opportunities and local community involvement, with young people acquiring sporting and personal skills, from which they will derive lifelong benefits; such as self-respect, self-esteem, self-confidence, integrity and respect for others.
Since its formation in 2019, the club has not been participating in any competition until this year, 2022, when they first took part in the ongoing Fourah Bay Amateur Football Association (FAFA) non-division competition.
The club played their first official game on the 6th May 2022, which they won 1-0 against 13th Legend at the Fourah Bay playing field. The goal was scored by their striker, Takie, and was assisted by their most outstanding young midfielder, Zainu Ghazali Savage.
With lots of training and commitment towards the young stars over the past years, they were able to qualify in the group of death, and made it to the knockout stage with 5 points out of 9, and emerged as first in the group.
In May 1st 2022, the club officially launched their home jersey, which is yellow and green, with black socks. The Head Coach is Mohamed Barrie, assisted by Abubakarr Mohamed, whilst the team captain, Mohamed Sahid, was selected as a result of his experience and being the longest serving player of the club, to be assisted by Aniru Cole.
However, since the start of 2022, the club has played more than 15 games, both friendlies and competition, and have only lost once to an all experienced Sierra Leone Ports Authority football club, who are one of the contenders in the just conclude Sierra Leone Premier League.
Kings Park Rangers is a football club that believes in unity, oneness and building up young players and supporting each other in any circumstance.
With the commitment of the young boys, their Head Manager, Haja Umu Hassan King, a female football loving fan, who knows lots about the game, is ready to support and see that the boys promote to another level of football.
She made a promise and endorsement to the boys, that for any game they played in the ongoing competition and win, they’ll earn themselves the sum of Le 500,000, and if they draw, they’ll earn Le 250,000, which has given the boys more determination to do more in both training session and game moment.
In early 2022 the club launched their official crest and unveiled their first ever sponsor, which is Fruits N Yum.
The club has gained recommendation of players after a well deserved performance in the group stage of their first ever competition, with the likes of Takie, their striker, who first wrote his name in the club book of goal scoring record, Zainu Savage, who gave the club its first ever assist in an official competition, Ibrahim Zubairu, the club minister of defence, who also scored one of the club’s most vital goal in the group stage, and other few players as well.
As it stands now, there are 35 members of Kings Park Rangers, both players and Executives.
