Making the donation, Aisha Bangura said that this is not the first time that they are engaging in such activities, but have been targeting vulnerable people all this while. She disclosed that after visiting the school, they did some feasibility studies on what is needed by the school and came up with the decision to provide the kids with learning materials to ease the burden on parents and guardians.

Isha disclosed that they have supported Ebola orphans with food and hygiene kits, adding that the same action was taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. She noted that she is feeling the pain that parents go through to provide for their kids in school, and this has informed her decision to come to their aid.

Isha Bangura furthered that her foundation had also provided counseling and support to young girls that have been sexually abused. Her foundation has also been active in sending out messages that discourage youths from the use of harmful drugs. She however, admonished the kids and their parents to ensure that learning materials are wisely used for their intended purpose.

She however admonished parents to give special attention to girls children’s as the saying goes by when you educated a child, you have educated a nation.

The occasion was climaxed with the official distribution of the learning materials to the kids. Parents, guardians and the school authorities expressed appreciation for such a laudable gesture and prayed that God will replenish her purse to continue to help them.

One of the beneficiaries, Yanoh Kamara, a single mother of three, thanked Care Foundation for the support, stating that at a time like this, when parents are facing huge challenges with the schooling of their kids, as the kids need everything new to start the academic year, but that this support from Isha and team has made things easier for them.
