Gilbert must be having sleepless nights as he is still a wanted man by the Sierra Leone Security forces. It is alleged that Gilbert is one of the financiers of the November 26th, 2023, failed coup plot together with the former head of state Ernest Bai Koroma who is currently in exile in the Republic of Nigeria.
Police intelligence says Gilbert was seen in Guinea as a fugitive and they are working round the clock to extradite him to Sierra Leone for trail as he is on the wanted list of alleged coup plotters.
Police intelligence further says Gilbert the CEO of GILCORP Group of Companies, the Security, the Logistics and the Agriculture is in Conakry – Guinea as a fugitive.
Gilbert is also known as a strong opposition party APC member and his party members believes if he returns to Sierra Leone, he will not get justice.
