The Sierra Leone Police have declared Abdulai Abass koroma and Abubakarr Mohamed Koroma, as wanted individual. A warrant of arrest has been issued by the Sierra Leone Police.
News intimated this press revealed, from community people’s and Family of Abdulai Abass koroma, that on August 10th, 2022, Abdulai Abass koroma was accompanied by colleagues, on a football march at Leicester road community field, Tree planting, Abdulai was appointed to referred the march, while his brother, Abubakarr mohamed koroma, scored a goal and was celebrating and one of the opposing player provoked him, they all started laughing, He pushed and hit him, Abdulai separate them, the player hit Abdulai on his face by noticed Abdulai was trying to support his brother , and they started fighting, he quickly overpowered Abdulai and choked his throat to kill him, Abubakarr hit him with goal pole so he could let go.
The player who attacked Abdulai was taken to the emergency hospital at Goderich
The youths then rushed at the scene and started beating up suspects Abdulai with sticks, stones and other offensive weapons, in the interim suspects Abdulai managed to escape from the violent crowd, whilst the other suspect Abubakarr was no where to be found.
Later, on the day, Abdulai Abass went to fetch water and saw the player elder brother who is a prison officer, and some guys who were coming from the hospital started chasing Abdulai but Abdulai ran away and went to the bush inside the forest of fourah Bay college, according to eye witness they throw sticks and stones at him but Abdulai was able to get his way and escape.
After his successful escape, when he was tried going home and he was approached by his friend who informed him about how some members of the community including the deceased family members are planning to eliminate them in revenge because they have not only committed a crime but the person who have lost his life in the community is a member of the community and his family members were not happy,
Sometime in the evening hour, news of the player death spread throughout the neighborhood.
later the family members of the deceased took the matter to the criminal investigation department (CID) headquarters and made the report, that on the 10th, of August 2022, Abdulai Abass koroma and his brother Abubakarr mohamed koroma, killed their family member Munu Saccoh (Aka Five O. Baddo) deceased, and they should be arrested and charge to court for their crime.
The parents of the deceased, alerted the community stakeholders and youths to go after both suspects Abdulai and his brother to apprehend them for the offense they have committed which is a murder offence and not acceptable in Sierra Leone.
The following morning, the deceased parents, together with community stakeholders including Abdulai father, then went to the police and reported the matter. On receipt of this report, statement were obtained from complainant and witnesses, a group of police personnel went into the scene of crime officer (Soco) where dispatched to the scene onboard police vehicle with registration number SLP 215, on arrival at the scene, both suspect Abdulai and his brother were nowhere to be found, The police where reliably informed that both suspects having fled the community and went on hiding, unknown destinations.
A police invitation for both suspects was issued to their relatives in order for them to report to the station the following day, For questioning in respect of the allegations levied against them which they deliberately failed to honor. Few days later, the police went to the scene again in search of the suspects, but they were informed that suspects Abdulai has fled the community and ran away to neighboring Guinea, that the other suspect is nowhere to be found. Due to that, the police has declared both suspects Abdulai and Abubakarr wanted, A warrant of arrest has been put in force for them in respect of the offence of murder, which they have committed, as such offence is illegal in Sierra Leone, and anyone caught in such act should face the consequences. Abdulai , who is doing a printing business at the Circular road community has come under serious intimadation and harassment from members of the deceased family and the community heads after being caught of murder with his brother in the same community
According to source from few community members, Mrs Fatu, Mrs Adama and Pa Sesay, told this medium that, Abdulai Abass koroma mother, Mrs kadiatu koroma is a deceased, that, since childhood Abdulai and his brother have never fight anyone, fear in trouble, stated that this was the first time they have heard about this incident, that it’s an accident, that this children have never committed this kind of problem before.
Both family members and some stakeholders in the community have mounted a round search for Abdulai and his brother’s who is now declared wanted by the Sierra Leone Police.
Abdulai and his brother hailstorm from a strong Islamic Muslim homes and their father is an Imam at the Leicester Read Mosque.
Both the family of the deceased and community stakeholders totally forbid individuals from such acts to happened Family members were completely confused at Abdulai, and his brother action, which noted goes contrary to the act of Sierra Leone.
According to Sierra Leone law, anyone thats killed, the act aren’t totally discouraged and disallowed the Sierra Leone constitution state that anyone caught in that act must face a sentence of life imprisonment with hard labor.
members of the family of Abdulai were very stressful, especially their little sister and others, as they are, declared wanted.
This medium also learned that members of the community were against what happened of which they were pointing fingers at their little sister , which nearly led her to commit suicide.
